Bollywood has shown the intense relationship of a Mother-Son in many films. And almost all of them had successfully attracted the audiences to the theater. I abide to this melodrama after being a “MAA” myself. Being a proud mother of a cute little Boy is something that has made me calm and more patient. And when he was turning 3, I wanted to gift him something special and exclusive. And what better than a small piece of writing dedicated to him – Manu. Though the piece is in Hindi in a fortnightly newspaper “Nirala Uttrakhand” (Have the advantage of my father owing the newspaper). But I hope those who know to read Hindi feel the emotion as I did while writing it.

” प्रिय मनु ,
तीन साल बीत गए, तुम्हे मेरी ज़िन्दगी में आये . मगर ऐसा लगता है की जैसे कल ही की बात हो , जब मैंने तुम्हारे नन्हे से जिस्म को अपने हाथो में लिया था. जैसी सूरत पिछले नौ  महीने में अपने मन में मैंने तुम्हारी बनाई थी, तुम बिलकुल वसे ही थे – सुन्दर और मासूम.
इन तीन सालों में बहुत कुछ बदला, या शायद कुछ भी नहीं. तुम्हारी शरारतें, मीठी – मीठी बातें और तुम्हारा निस्वार्थ प्रेम मुझे सदेव ही इस बात की और आकर्षित करते हैं की इंसान को  अपने भीतर के बचे को कभी भी मरने नहीं देना चाहिए.
आज (21-8-2012), जब तुम तीन वर्ष के हो जाओगे – पहेले से जयादा बड़े – पहेले से ज़यादा समझदार , तुम्हे यही कहेना चाहूंगी की समझदारी के इस सफ़र में अपनी मासूमियत को  सदेव बनाये रखना.
तुम्हारी सीरत पे मुझे गर्व है , उम्मीद करती हूँ , अपनी माँ के गौरव का यूँ ही सम्मान करते रहोगे .
