Well when I first saw the promo it appealed to me as a B grade sexually drenched script, with some steamy scenes and skin show. But mind you Mastram is much more than that. Akhilesh Jaiswal has very skillfully crafted the screenplay that leaves you with a thought that how hypocrite the society is. What we actually are and what we show are two different things.

Rahul Bagga and Tasha Berry are the chosen ones for the movie. Tasha Berry does not seem to have much share in the film yet she seems promising. Rahul Bagga acts this writer who sees himself as a number one novelist and story writer some day. But how he falls under the trap of becoming a Masala sex Story writer and later on finds himself in tedious circumstances of facing the people around him.

The movie has been made in a simple way and leaves you with no hollow in-between. You do not feel bored or left out anywhere. Mastram is a mirror of our sexual inclinations and desires. Physical attraction is something that no one can turn his face from no matter what your status, caste, creed or religion is.

Mastram is an amalgamation of sincerity, distractions, need of money and the society’s expectations and the dual faces of people. A moderately nice and entertaining film, it can be watched once!
