This has been my longest stay in Mumbai away from my husband and kids. Though my sons joined me in Mumbai during Christmas, I still felt the distance.

At the moment, I can’t think of anything but going back to the people who matter the most to me,” she said. Madhuri also said she hasn’t signed any film during this trip. “I met directors and heard scripts. But nothing that would tear me away from my children,” she said.

“I’ve to admit this was a very special visit to Mumbai. I felt extremely welcome.

But right now, I can’t say when I’m coming back,” she said

The functionaries put down the success of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa to its host, Madhuri Dixit , Bollywood Diva, reigning heroine of the 1990s. What makes them happier is that the channel paid Dixit a fraction of what it paid Bachchan and still managed higher viewership.

In her third coming, Dixit is in demand with filmmakers, TV shows and marketers. “I am glad people still think of me so highly and are willing to work with me,” she says.

Hindustan Unilever has signed her for its fabric care brand, Comfort, while Bush Foods has signed her as a global ambassador for its basmati rice, Neesa. She is also the brand ambassador for chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s channel, Food Food, a joint-venture between Malaysia-based Astro All Asia Network and Kapoor’s Turmeric Vision.

Her business manager, Rakesh Nath, says Dixit still commands a lot of respect in the entertainment industry. “I had a great time doing Jhalak and as far as films are concerned, I have read a lot of scripts but nothing is finalised,” says the Denver-based actress.

“What matters to me is the subject and my role,” she adds.

But it’s an open secret that Dixit has refused a sought-after film with superstar Rajnikanth and also said no to other plum projects.

But what is it about Dixit that has producers and marketers queuing up, almost eight years after she called it quits (her last big release was Devdas in 2002)? “She was the last female superstar Bollywood saw and still has that aura around her,” says adman Prasoon Joshi.

Madhuri might not be signing films left, right and centre or appearing on magazine covers by the dozen, but she remains as popular as ever.

Chang started off as non-dancer, but as the journey of Jhalak-4 began, he showed great improvements. A hundered percent entertainer, Chang’s hard work deservered the praise, the trophy and yes Rs.25Lakh….

Sushant singh and Yana had to remain contented  as the runner ups. Viewers also got to see some good performances by Daya, Ankita and a spoof dedicated to the judges by Ragini, Mahi and Krushna.

Jhalak-4 witnessed its last episode on Tuesday and ofcourse viewers are going to miss the dance and drama from next week. And yes Madhuri Dixit too!

How can i not talk about Madhuri’s performance  Choreographed by Remo. Madhuri danced on “Kay Sera Sera…” and “Tamma Tamma…”. Looking  a little fat, she did her dance with full conviction and great expressions , yet “Madhuri, Indian suits you.”

Yes, India is the largest democratic country.. But here I am not going to tell you about the voting procedure, during our elections, but I am talking about, the voting system in our Television industry….

As you must have been aware, that almost all our reality shows have this voting funda, in which the viewers vote for their favourite contestants, so that they may win the contest.. (remind you, voting is done for the favourite contestant, and not for the one who deserves to be in the top list)…

Jhalak Dikhlaja-3 is no exception!… Karan Singh Grover, who has a huge female fan following has come amongst the three finalists of Jhalak..(Well I think he dances like an empty jhola, (bag), who needs to be filled with a lot of wazan, (weight)..

And the one who had to bear the consequences of not being sooooooo popular in the Indian houses, is Gauhar Khan, ( thankfully she has proved herself as a surviver, and is one of the finalists, inspite of the scarcity of votes, throughout the show)….

Another deserving participant, who had to see the exit door, ofcourse due to less votes, is Hard Kaur…

My question is, that, why can’t the viewers see the difference between good and not so good?? Why do the hard working and deserving participants always come in the “danger zone”?

And why some people, only on the basis of their popularity, get the maximum votes.. (which actually they do not deserve)….

Jhalak Dihklaja-3 is not the only example… their are many more… Infact Jhalak-1 had Mona Singh as its winner, inspite of Shweta Salve, (who I think was a better dancer), But Jassi’s (Mona Singh), popularity made her win the show..

Similarly in Jhalak -2, Sandhya Mridul had to lose, only on the accouints of not being so popular as her co-contestant, Prachi Desai, (Bani of Kasamh Se..)...

Another question that arises in my mind.. Is this voting system really authentic?? Or the channel moulds the counting of the votes, according to their ease, to increase their TRP??

Whatever may be the case is, according to me there should not be any public voting, and the desicions should only base on the fare and unbiased judgement of the judges… what say??
