The story of Ragini MMS revolves around Ragini (Kainaz Motivala) and her boyfriend Udayan (Raj Kumar Yadav) who plan a weekend in a deserted bungalow away from the city. While Udayan has some different plans as to record a sex tape of him and Ragini and sell off. But the real problem start when they realize that the house is haunted by some paranormal activities.

The movie has been made in just a budget of a crore approx. Immediately after ‘Haunted 3D’ the audience gets a taste of another horror movie, which Ekta Kapoor has explored well. It has drawn it’s inspiration from a real life story. The movie sees a well blend of sex and horror, a subject which is well handled by first time director Pawan.

Uday and Kainaz come up as fresh pair. Ragini, who is being shown as an uptown girl is good as she portrays the intimate scenes shedding her inhibitions; whereas Udayan is shown as a raw desi guy and cuss words are his favorite in the movie. The pair has a lot of potential and as newcomers there performances deserves a thumbs up.

First time director who has chosen real life subject and blended it with horror and sex has done a good job. He has played very interestingly with few of the shots which would create some inquisitiveness amongst the audience. Pawan knows his job well and knows what works best with audiences. His direction has some freshness.
If you are looking for some spooky, horror experience then this movie is for sure a must watch. The horror genre has been tapped well and thumbs up to the star cast for their acting. Though the movie stretches at times but one can still give it a shot.

Delhi based Deepika, the inspiration behind the much in news Ekta Kapoor’s movie Ragini MMS feels like she is living a nightmare.

The movie, which releases today, has many steamy scenes, but haven’t taken care to specify that those aren’t a part of her real life, alleges the 22 year old. As a result, she is being continually harassed by everyone.  She said that she never shared any experiences of love making with Ekta and had only revealed the experience of a paranormal activity when they saw the video that her boyfriend had made.  She is now determined to go ahead and file a case against Ekta Kapoor.
However, Ekta remains unfazed and believes that all the misunderstanding will be sorted out when they sit and talk.

Overall a 3 Star Movie, watch it for horror experience.

After garnering all praises at several international film festivals, Ekta Kapoor’s Shor In The City, has not failed to impress the industry experts. Filmmaker Karan Johar is full of praises for Kapoor’s recent release Shor In The City.

Karan Johar praised the film on his, “Just watched a SUPERB film…a technical and cinematic victory!!! SHOR is a must watch!! Well done Ekta and everyone at BALAJI!!!.”
The film has a philosophical message which has not been explained very explicitly. The film’s first half is more interesting than the second half because of the freshness of the characters, the incidents in the drama and, of course, the witty dialogues and punch-lines. In fact, dialogue writers Sita Menon and Chintan Gandhi are in form, elevating some scenes with their peppy and fun dialogues. The post-interval portion loses some of the grip of the first half as it becomes more routine.

Tusshar Kapoor gets into the skin of the character of Tilak and does a lovely job of it. Sendhil Ramamurthy is wonderfully restrained but his accented English will restrict his appeal to the city-based audience only. Nikhil Dwivedi does a fine job. Pitobash Tripathi is splendid. He acts very naturally and evokes laughter at a number of places. Sundeep Kishan is effective. Radhika Apte’s is an intense performance. She gets very little scope though. Preeti Desai suits her character and is alright.

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s direction is smart and honest to the script. Although the duo has not been able to underline the philosophy of the film too explicitly (thereby restricting the film’s appeal), it has made the three almost unrelated stories merge into one another seamlessly.

On the whole, Shor In The City is a well-made and well-enacted film but it has limited commercial appeal and will, therefore, do well in select multiplexes of the big cities only.
Ekta Kapoor will be coming up with two more films this year, which include Ragini MMS and The Dirty Pictures.

Must watch Movie, 3 Stars.

Contemplating the alterations in the film, it’s believed that the film’s release on May 17 might be postponed.

An industry insider revealed, “Ekta loved the rushes but felt the scare factor needed to be upped.”

However, Ekta dodged such rumors and said that it’s just a half day work as only two scenes are being re-worked and the film will be exempted on its scheduled date.

Rebuffing the baseless rumors, director Pawan Kripalani said, “It’s a work in progress. Ekta has no issues with the film. The first cut is very long and we are tying to cut it down to 90 minutes.”

Reportedly, Ekta had even re-shot certain scenes in her another forthcoming project ‘Shor In The City’ featuring Tusshar Kapoor as one of the leads.

Have you seen Ekta Kapoor’s, “Bandini”, of late?? If not you, then somebody must have, may be your mother or sister?? Ok! I confess I do watch Ekta Kapoor, sometimes…

Not ‘coz I like watching her serials, but ‘coz somebody, (don ask me who?), at my place watches Bandini regularly, (inspite of the IPL series)….

Anyways the point I want to raise is that, the serial is creating a little bit of confusion in my mind… Yup telling you how?? (It would be easier for you to understand, if you watch it regularly..)

The main lead of the serial, “Bandini”, Dharmaraj Mahiyavanshi (Ronit Roy), is married to Santu, (Aasiya Kazi),… Dharmaraj Mahiyavanshi has four children from his first wife… And Santu is actually a bit younger than the eldest son of Dharmaraj, who is Hiten Dharmaraj Mahiyavanshi, (Mrunal Jain)..

Santu has two more sisters, who live with their nana ji in the village… Some circumstances have led Hiten, the eldest son of Dharmaraj, to live with this family of Santu, i.e. nanaji and the two sisters…

Now if we go by the relationship tree, Dharmaraj is the father of Hiten, and because Santu is Dharmaraj’s second wife, she has to be Hiten’s mother, according to the relationship tree, (so what if Santu is younger from Hiten?)…

Santu’s elder sister is Khemi, played by Leena Jumani, (forget about the younger one, she is not important right now!).. Thus, going by the tree, Khemi, (Santu’s sister), would have to be Hiten’s masi...

But Ekta Kapoor’s serial “Bandini”, has a twist!! The story is leading towards a love angle, which is between Hiten and Khemi, (who is supposed to be Hiten’s masi)…

Did you get what I am trying to say?? The word MASI, itself means Ma+SI, yani ki MA jaisi… Then how can Hiten and Khemi fall in love with eachother?????

Well this is Ekta Kapoor’s serial… Yahan kuch bhi ho sakta hai!!! Remember Kyunki’s title track, “Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hai… Naye Naye Sache Mein Dhalte Hai….”
