Bollywood and Glamor go hand in hand, and the statement does not need any proof. But apart from glamor, one more thing that has the privilege of companionship with Bollywood is, CRIME.
Crime and Bollywood have now become synonyms of each other. So many actors till date have got into some kind of anti-social incidents. The industry got the first JHATAKA in the form of Sanjay Dutt. The son of the most reputed duo in the filmy duniya, Nargis and Sunil Dutt. Sanjay was arrested under the TADA for owing AK-47 rifles, in 1993. He is still fighting for his innocence in the Supreme Court.

But his contact with crime has another history!! Sanjay Dutt got into drugs while still in high school. His mother’s death due to cancer worsened Sanjay’s drug habit. Sunil Dutt then sent him to a rehab center in Texas. After attending a rehabilitation program in the United States, a sober Dutt started working in films again.

Another famous actor who followed Sanju Baba’s footsteps is Salman Khan. Became notorious with the hunting of Black Buck in Jodhpur, while shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hain. The irony is that except Salman Khan everybody else who was involved in hunting act is now out of any legal effect, but Salman is the only one who still bearing the consequences and that was not the end. After few years he was found guilty for driving his car through a footpath causing the death of 1 person and injuring 4 people. In between the two, there was the Aishwarya-Vivek episode that brought Salman in the lime light, of course for the bad reason.

Firoz Khan’s son Fardeen was arrested while buying drugs in May 2001. Though he came up with apologies and said sorry to all his fans. FANS?? Anyways lets not get into that.
Last but not the least, how can we forget Shiney Ahuja?? One morning everything became not so shiny for the actor. His maid accused him of raping her. He was arrested and then released after few days. But the case is still on.
Not only males but the female actors of the industry have also became the part of this dirty game.. Mandakini, Monika Bedi are the prominent names.
There are so many other examples too..  seems that fame has its own drawbacks!!

Everything has a price in this world! If you want something, EASY! Pay and take it home… From a battery to refrigerator, clothes, accessories, gold, diamond and even GLAMOUR!!
Yes glamour… Something that even overshadows the shine of a diamond!!
And what do our celebrities pay to get it?? Not money and paisa!! But their Privacy…

Privacy GONE! What left???

News channels these days can make news out of anything!! Who has an affair with whom? Who is wearing what brand shoes? Who called whom, a Dog? Actually no celebrity has been rescued from this. Not even the Big B! And the latest is his being the brand ambassador of Gujarat! But lets not go into this one…
What I am talking is, that one question that is unanswered and will remain so is, celebrities make controversies or controversies make celebrities???
But who cares?? Don’t we enjoy these controversies?? Yes we do! So, let us all have the ear for these controversies.. Don’t you agree with me that, they add SPICES in our KHICHADI life!!

Review:

A treasure lays buried deep at the bottom of an ocean. There are many people who want to get there by risking life, be it theirs or someone else’s.

‘Blue’ is casted as Bollywood’s first underwater movie, Directed by Anthony D’Souza , the movie is inspired from Hollywood flicks like ‘The Deep’ or ‘Jaws’, but not a copy.

The film is about a lost treasure, which three friends try to find undersea. Akshay Kumar , Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan play the respective roles.

With a budget of almost 100 crores, making ‘Blue’ one of the most expensive movies made in the Indian cinema.’Blue’ kick starts with a song shot under water which almost gives you an experience of deep sea diving as you get a closer look into the marine life. Two minutes into the movie and there you go, a shark scene executed by James D Bomalick with Akshay and Sanjay, probably the first and last, which is quite disillusioning because that is the only stunt you get to see with sharks as in the remaining film they seemed to have depicted well fed sharks who quite surprisingly did not bother to attack any human beings around them. What happens next, throughout the movie is a phase of events, which leave you unfazed and get out of the theatres as quick as you can.

‘Blue’ is a story of Sagar (Sanjay Dutt) who works with Aarav (Akshay Kumar) for his fishing business in Bahamas and is also a deep sea diver who knows the Pacific Ocean like the back of his hand. The movie is for the treasure in a sunken ship lady in blue, which is the sole motive of Aarav’s existence and the reason behind that, is revealed only in the climax. All is going fine in the life of Sagar and his girlfriend Mona (Lara Dutta), when his younger brother Sam (Zayed Khan), who is a rebel and had run away from home five years back finds himself in a soup in Bangkok and runs back to big bro Sagar for help. Well, nothing new and novel about the story, but the crux is that whilst you are watching the movie you realize that the screen play is very weak and so is Anthony D’Souza direction. The story could have been made into a suspense leaving some space for the audience’s imagination, however a bad screenplay by Mayur Puri, breaks the backbone of ‘Blue’.

While Indians have liked Jaws and Titanic, National treasure was a big hit, no one questioned the logic behind the story or any of the scenes, but, when a desi director does international quality work, everyone sits up and puts in their two bits of opinion.

A bad story is further affected by bad dialogues, again by Mayur Puri. Akshay Kumar looks hot and his dressing sense is quite good too, while Zayed is at his usual best, the bad boy look, Sanjay disappoints as he looks haggard and completely unfit for an action movie, while the surprise in the movie is sizzling Lara sporting four to five different and colorful bikinis and looking hot and irresistible. While Rahul Dev (Gulshan) is average and Katrina Kaif(Nikki) who has just a cameo in the movie, looks wild with her looks and breaks out from her delicate image. It is not that the movie has no ups, of course! it is a visual treat as it has some excellent cinematography by Laxman Utekar who captures the beautiful city of Bahamas in a scenic manner and the underwater sequences are worth a watch. Especially, some awesome underwater stunts by all the four actors. In terms of action outside water, ‘Blue’ fails, with some draggy long bike chases and races. The bike chase between Akshay and Zayed is quite long. All underwater stunts and antiques are excellent and quite fresh for an Indian audience, all credits for the efforts taken by the actors performing them and by underwater cinematographer Pete Zuccarini.

The music of the film is average and does not sound like A.R. Rahman’s work.

What is commendable about the movie is the guts to attempt such a movie in Indian cinema, the execution of the under water sequences, the stunts by the actors and capturing the beautiful marine life on camera. But on second thoughts with no story and screenplay in place and unlively performances with no emotional connect with audience. Two stars for the efforts by everyone involved with ‘Blue’.

I guess Bollywood has completely sworn to walk onto the Hollywood path…

Yes I know, bollywood is far behind from the Hollywood in many aspects, Yet our Bollywood star wives are all set to leave behind the Hollywood big wiggies…

They are ready to do anything and everything to see their star hubbies on the top…

We have so many examples to count..

First and the foremost is Twinkle khanna!! Remember the unbuttoning act of Akshay Kumar?? This publicity earned Akshay a lot money.. But not only Akshay, even Twinkle received a lot of criticism for publically unbuttoning her husband!!

Another example is of the most sweetest couple of our Industry, Sussane- Hrithik Roshan..

Hrithik and papa Rakesh Roshan are busy promoting their upcoming flick, “Kites”…. The Hrithik- Barbara affair is a part of this promotion… (A strategy that works amazingly sometimes for giving any movie a hype before its release.. Even their on-screen kiss has been given a lot of importance).. And the best part of this is that Sussane has been a support system and a partner in crime of this entire publicity gimmick…

Infact Shiney Ahuja’s wife also came up for shiney’s rescue after he was convicted in the rape case..

Few months back Arbaz Khan- Mallika Arora, came in the news for getting divorced… But later it proved to be publicity ka chakkar, which was for some product… And they had to face a lot of criticism from their fans for it….

I am sure there are more such instances… And why not?? Good or Bad, publicity is publicity!!! And when done for you husband, one does not require any other PRO..

Remember the song, “Nayak nahi khalnayak hoon main!!” Nope I am not talking about Sanjay Dutt, another actor, who has left the entire film industry numb and speechless.

Yes you gussed it right! Shiney Ahuja has been accused of raping his maid…

Though, many people, including Shiney’s wife and neighbors have come out for his rescue. But if the charges on Shiney are proved correct, then once upon a time tagged as an ‘Intense actor’ would be now tagged as a rapist.

Well this kind of an acquisition on Shiney is definitely the biggest, but not the first.

Shiney started his career in 2006, with “Hazaaron Kwahishen Aisi” and since then he has been in news for different bad reason. Especially for not getting along very well with his female co-stars. You name it and you have it… Kangana Ranaut, Esha Deol and even our Preeti Zinta.

The case is still under investigation and the actor is waiting for the decision, behind the bars.

Now, it is hard to guess that is it controversies that make our hindi film industry/stars or is it our film industry/ stars that make controversies ?????

The most simple looking young girl can grow into a heartthrobe of millions of Indians….

(So do not underestimate yourself…)

Yes, the movie, “Jodha Akbar”, has proved a turning point in the lives of many established actors. Take Hrithik Roshan, who looked like an exact replica of a royal persona, of the Mughal Era. Or be it Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, whose beauty charmed the audiences, in the role of a Rajput Princess.. Also consider Illa Arun, whose negative character, people loved to hate…..

But amongst these Biggies there was also a new comer, who managed to snatch away all the attention of the viewers whenever she..ohh… I mean he was on the screen…

I am sure you must not have forgotten, “Neemat” (the eunuch), in the movie Jodha Akbar… A role played by Tejpal Singh.…

A man with a difference and a lot of courage, as he decided to do this role of a eunuch, in the beginning of his career, without the fear of being type casted…

A Garhwali, born and brought up in Jaipur.. Studied in St. Xaviers’, always had the dream, to be a Hindi film Director. And finally, after a struggle of 10 years or so, opportunity knocked at his door and he got appointed as one of the Assistant Directors in the crew of  movie Jodha Akbar, (the Movie was Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar)…

With the dream of directing his own hindi film one day, he began to learn the minorities of Direction…

But neither he nor any body else knew that destiny also held a surprise for him in its lap…

Ashu ji, (Ashutosh Gowarikar), was looking for an actor to play the role of Neemat! Earlier given the commitment, an actor who was supposedly doing the role, backed out… This created a problem for Ashu ji and the whole team, as the shooting was to be kept at hold..

The A.D. Tejpal felt the difficulty his master was facing.. Thus he offered his loyalties to Ashu ji and suggested his name for the role….

But that was not easy… Tejpal says, “to play another sex needs a lot of mental transformation”…

Ashu ji asked him to walk like one… And this was not behind the doors, but in a hotel. And that too in front of 70-80 people… Tejpal Singh did so…

A serious and sophisticated ambience of the hotel turned into a jovial and fun atmosphere…

And then there was no looking back for him.. He did both the roles, (on and off screen), with a lot of conviction…

He even lost his dear brother Manu Singh forever, in the mid way… What an Irony??? But they say… the best comedy comes out of the most Tragic man sometimes…. Tejpal Singh proved it correct… He was making everybody laugh when his heart was crying….

The result of this is that he has now been nominated in the category for, “The Best Comic Role”, in IIFA Awards 2009….

The nomination has come alongwith the big names of the industry- Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor…..

Well I have my fingers crossed for Tejpal Singh, as I have loved his role.. I wish the new guy gets his dues soon…

And If he is reading this then i wanna tell him that people would love to see him again setting the screen on fire….

Remember Urmila Matondkar, in the movie “Rangeela”.. Yeahh… she played the role of an Extra, who dances behind the heroines and then ends up becoming a heroin herself..

But is this the same fate for every Extra in this industry. I guess everyone of us knows the answer-NO!

There are so many of them, who are seen dancing behind the main leads in a song.. Or those who have only one shot in the 3 hour long movie, in which they have to give the best possible “ajeeb” expression, any one could ever try..

Scenes which show few people running here and there in a rain sequence or if there is fire anywhere.. We hardly notice them!!!

But the truth is that these Extras make such scenes look closer to the reality…

Infact there are few Extras, who dance better than the hero/heroine. And this is sad that they do not get the deserved attention..

And who knows that these people have come in this industry with the dream of becoming a star.. But they die being an Extra..( somewhat like SRK in “Om Shanti Om“)

Imagine if actors like Imran Hashmi or Ajay Devgan, (ofcourse he is a good actor, but the kind of looks he has!), had started their careers as extras.. Would they have ever got a chance to be on the position they are right now?????? I do not think so….

Though there has been a Mumtaz, who started her career as an extra and became the heartthrobe of many youngsters, during her days. But such cases are few!

So next time when you see an Extra dancing or acting better than the main leads, then do not forget to admire them…

You must be thinking what?? Guys I am talking about humare filmy stars campaigning for the elections…. Yeah! Everybody from Salman Khan to Amir Khan to Sanjay Dutt is busy marketing for the candidates in the elections.. And I guess many more will do the same, if given a chance..

The Bollywood stars and the Politicians have become so involved with each other that who is over taking what, has become a matter of discussion..

Actors becoming Politicians and Politicians moving towards the silver screen is becoming common now-a-days!

This has gone to such an extent that, apne Amar Singh ji ka house had been converted into a set, for uncle Dev Anand’s upcoming venture….

But the question is, would all this really help the country to witness a government, which would really work for the benefits of the people..????

Would anybody go to cast his vote to a deserving candidate, only ‘coz Amir Khan has told him to do so (on Television)?

Would people really vote for the deserving candidates or will they go for the ones, whom their favorite actor is endorssing??

All these questions might remain unanswered for years and years, but if the common man really wants to get out of this confusion then it is necessary to follow only one rule, i.e., “Dikhave par mat jao, apni akal lagao”

Can you guys imagine what apna Akki bhaiya, yani ki Akshay Kumar did on the ramp of Lakme Fashion Week, recently…….?????? I guess no one can, unless you have witnessed the scene from your eyes….  Waise toh Akki has also been notorious for his deeds and number of girlfriends, throughout his filmy career… But recently he crossed all the limits of his boldness on the ramp… He asked a girl, from the audience, to open his jeans ka button … Yeaaahhhh…. That was sooooooo absurd and idiotic…

Don’t know how much he was paid to do the stuff..?? Might be a lot of money.. And if not then God knows how Twinkle would have reacted on her husband’s bold attitude????? Akki, now a days is also facing a lot of criticism for his not so decent dialouge bazi in the movie, “Kambakht Ishq”.. The censor board has even asked the producer- director to chop off certain bad words from the promos… GOD help the movie now!!!!
