According to reports Vastavikta, who made her Bollywood debut in the supernatural thriller ‘Eight’, moved next to Shahid’s apartment building, Raj Classique, on Yari Road after she fell in love with the ‘Kaminey’ actor when she first met him at Shiamak Davar`s dance classes a few years ago.

Vastavikta, who claims herself as Shahid’s wife, has been accosting the actor at odd-hours of the day.
Sources also confirmed that her mother had even written an apology note to Shahid for Vastavikta`s behaviour. Vastavikta believes Shahid to be her husband.

“Shahid did not want to file the complaint but he had no choice as it had gone on for too long,” a source said.
Shahid had refrained himself from taking any strict actions and has been dealing with the issue cautiously for six months, but now that things have gone out of proportion, he had no other choice left except a legal action.

Senior police inspector Nankumar Mhetar of Versova Police Station said, “We have filed a non-cognisable complaint after a letter from Shahid Kapoor submitted by his manager. We have called the girl, but she was not at home.”

Well the appropriate time to release a light hearted romantic film is around the V- DAY and yes you will hit the jackpot definitely. Ek main Aur Ekk tu is the latest in this lot. Not a very good opening at the box office, Valentine’s Day has helped the film to raise the number of its audiences.  Ek main Aur Ekk tu is not an extraordinary effort by Karan Johar, but the film has managed to raise a brow at the so called “high society”. A happy go lucky types, Ek main Aur Ekk tu, will leave you with nothing special while coming out of the theatres, neither will you go regretting spending money on this Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan starrer.

Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah have been impressive in their roles. Kareena Kapoor has looked hot and has justified her role. Imran Khan looks cute but needs to polish his acting skills a little more.  And as Riana (Kareena) tells Rahul (Imran) in the movie that he is, “perfectly average” goes with Imran (Imran) in existence too. Imran Khan is actually perfectly average. That’s the reason why he has not made it yet, in the galaxy, still he is loved by many. Although he has worked hard to shape up the character of Rahul in the movie, in terms of his body language.

The film ends with an impression of Ek main Aur Ekk tu (Part 2) but I doubt whether Johar go into it now. Music/songs are lovable, if you listen to them with free and open mind.

As an on screen couple Kareena and Imran look promising. People would definitely want to watch them together more in the future.  Not a very good film, it might attract few young buds. And as the dialogue makes it clear itself, Ek main Aur Ekk tu is a PERECTLY AVERAGE film.

In this new age of remixes and remakes, where pathetic pieces of art are being made in the name of inspiration and Tribute, “Agneepath” has come as a fresh air’s blow for the movie lovers. An Inspiration and a Tribute in its true sense, “Agneepath” is a fine composition with justified characterizations, awesome actings, novelty and good screenplay. Well it would be a little difficult to term it as a better film from Amitabh’s “Agneepath” but I would say that it would not be correct to compare the oldie and the newbie. Both the films behold their identities and successfully showcase themselves has individuals.

Although the protagonist Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, do appear a little less powerful than the anti-hero, Kancha. But if the bady is being played by someone like Sanjay Dutt, over shadowing of the hero is natural, may it be Hrithik Roshan. A well-developedplot seems to be a bit slow in the beginning but tights up its belt gradually that stay with the audience, till the end. A violently amazing screenplay does not give you the time to think about the old “Agneepath”.You do miss the dialogue delivery of Amitabh Bacchan sometimes, but as I said do not compare the old and the new one and you will enjoy the film more.

Sanjay Dutt has very convincingly played the Khalnayak. Brutality at its peak! Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra have also played their characters with complete focus and have actually lived them. Someone whose character has really attracted the people, inspite of not being in the old Agneepath is Rishi Kapoor, as Rauf lala. His character as a Mafia actually makes you to hate him (like you love him).

Music does not play a very attractive part of this Agneepath’s package but “Chikni Chameli” has definitely played a vital role in calling up the audiences at the box office. But what one can talk about, even after coming out of the theatres is the background score of the film.

The signature dialogue of the film, “naam vijay chauhan, poora naam Vijay Deenanath Chauhan…..” has been very perfectly moulded in a new situation and backdrop, but yes it has not lost its soul.

All in all “Agneepath” is a film to be remembered and watched again due to the hard work done by Karan Malhotra. Every possible detail has been taken care of in the film. I personally loved the scene when Vijay sees his burnt home, and we could see him and a burnt bulb in the frame and there are few more. But not going into explaining them all I would recommend you to go and watch the film with a free mind and not carrying the old “Agneepath” along with you because:-

It has always been very difficult for me to admire Ekta Kapoor for her senseless small screen dramas. And I never thought that I would be praising her for anything in my blog. But, “The Dirty Picture” proves me wrong! Who says that cheap one liners and selling sex on Big screen leads to vulgarity and Dirt? Vidya Balan as “Silk”, in spite of being played the role with full conviction and justice does not leave you with an “ohhh la la ohh la la” feeling, but you come out of the theatre applauding her performance and the movie.  And not only Silk but each character of the movie, has appeared appropriate and human. Naseerruddin Shah, Tusshar, Imran Hashmi, everyone has been successfully marked their presence in the film.

The Dirty Picture has revealed the darker side of the Entertainment Industry in a very subtle and quiet manner. The Dirty Picture showcases the fact that Bollywood has always been a male dominated planet. But the Heroism that exists on as well as off the screen is an entity of very few hearts, and Silk (Vidya Balan) is a symbol of this Heroism.

The movie does not have a single loop hole and that’s the reason why the audiences do not get the time to blink their eyes for even a second. The scene where Silk sees herself as Reshma in every mirror she comes across and finally as Silk in a small pit filled with muddy, dirty water, might leave you thinking, that who am I and what have I become!! Even if you do not acquire any message (you might not as there are no two pages long monologues pronounced by the characters, as can be heard and seen in many of our hindi films), from the movie you can watch it for pure..

ENTERTAINMENT, ENTERTAINMENT, ENTERTAINMENT!!!

A must watch, this has come into my list of favorite movies. And if you have not yet got the pleasure of watching The Dirty Picture yet, plan it out asap.

Endearing Promos, Lovely Songs, Greatly Hyped but unfortunately an unsuccessful attempt by the actor turned Director, Pankaj Kapoor. A simple love story that’s what Mausam could have been. But in order to make it a Love Saga with the twists and turns of anti-social activities has made the Director and the actors to enact something very lethargic piece of art that inspite of being highly melodramatic, fails to touch the audiences’ hearts.
The Promos and the music definitely raised the expectations of the Media, Classes and the Masses. But most of these people have come out of the theatre carrying a bad review of the film. Though the beginning of the movie seems promising but the slow pace of the events drags it unnecessarily for three hours. The story showcases the time period of 10 years in a young boy and girl’s life. How they meet, separate, meet again, again get separated and finally end up marrying each other. As a stated earlier the love story could have been simple but the complications of the anti-social activities and an unnecessary filming of all the terroristic activities has made the plot a complex one. And it definitely does not soothe the viewers.
Shahid Kapoor has tried to give his best shot and his personal attachment with the movie and the character is visible throughout the film, because Mausam has been directed by his father. Sonam Kapoor no doubt has become a fashion Icon for the young generation. And his love for style and fashion is clearly seen in the Scotland sequence. Though the Scotland set up seems a little artificial and unnatural.
Mausam do have some great love moments between Harry (Shahid) and Ayat (Sonam), but unfortunately these scenes are unable to make the audience to stick to their chairs. The movie has turned up to be a disaster for Pankaj Kapoor. But of course the “Office Office” star deserves another opportunity as there is no doubt about him being a talented artist. Well.. I wish him All the Best for his next venture whenever he plans it.

When we talk about the “Jungleepan” on celluloid the first name that comes to our mind is “Shammi Kapoor”.

Shamsher Raj Kapoor, the son of Prithvi Raj Kapoor, saw a bright and an entertaining career in Hindi Films. His mannerism and his flamboyancy took over the hearts of many during those times. As a hero and as a character artist, later on, Shammi Kapoor shined in every character of his.

He was an actor of the masses. In-spite of his chocolaty and fair looks he was never typecasted. His  youthfulness and love for cinema kept him young all through his life.

Won the filmfare award for the best actor in a lead role for his all time favorite movie “Brahmchaari”. Apart from that he also earned many life time achievement awards. As a child i fondly remember the Shammi Kapoor and Ashok Kumar’s “Pan Parag” advertisement.

Having rarest of all dancing styles, Shammi Kapoor will be remembered always by the bollywood fraternity and his fans.

If a person wants to know and understand the festivals of India then Hindi Movies are the best source. Holi, Diwali, Eid, you name it and you have it on your screen.

Indian celluloid has significantly glorified the packages of emotional extravaganzas. Raksha Bandhan is no exception. A Symbol of Love for Brothers and Sisters, Raksha Bandhan has been the main focus of our film makers in many films. The relationship of “Behan-Bhai”, has been captured many a times. Hindi films are a showcase of drama and emotions.

Some of the most famous songs completely dedicated for this precious relation in our Hindi Films are: “Bhaiya morye rakhi ke bandhan ko nibhana…..” , “Behena ne bhai ki kalai pe pyaar bandha hai….”, “Phoolon ka taron ka sabka kehena hai ek hazaaron me meri behena hai….”.

Apart from the created version, bollywood also has many brother-sister jodi. Saif Ali Khan-Soha Ali Khan, Ashmit Patel-Amisha Patel, Sunny/Bobby Deol-Esha Deol, Sajid Khan-Farha Khan are to name few.

Was reading a local newspaper, and there was a news that demanded my attention because Bollywood is something I always crave for.

The news said that the famous actor of 70′s and 80′s Raj Kiran is living his life in a mental hospital of Atlanta.

If you don’t remember who Raj Kiran is, then the song “Tum itna jo muskura rahe ho…” might give you an idea of his appearance. Yes, a sweet looking and a little fat guy, who also played the “poorva janam” version of Rishi Kapoor in the old “Karz”.And Rishi kapoor is also the one who has now made an effort to know where this actor and his friend has disappeared from the past 1 decade.

Raj Kiran enacted some very good roles during his career. “Ghar ho to Aisa”, “Ghar ek Mandir”, “Waris”, “Aarth” are to name few.

An initiative taken by Deepti Naval, who is also a friend of Raj Kiran, has been put to its end with Rishi Kapoor’s search for him. But film makers like Subhash Ghai and Mahesh Bhatt, (who have worked with the actor) have also taken the command and have showed their desire to bring the actor back home.

Well we can just say that name, fame glamor is only an outer covering of this shinny World. The truth is far different, inside it.

And we as a lay man can only read it through news like these.

Bollywood bombshell Katrina Kaif, who made her B-town debut in ‘Boom’ (2003), shared a steamy kiss with Gulshan Grover in the film, which was later deleted due to the pressure from her former boyfriend Salman Khan.
Apparently, the filmmakers have decided to re-release the DVD of Katrina’s debut film, including her wet and wild lip lock.
Since now Salman Khan is no longer in the life of Katrina Kaif, latter’s first on-screen kiss is haunting the hot actress once again.

When it was released, ‘Boom’ did not fare well at the Box Office. However, the filmmakers are also contemplating to re-release the film because they want to encash Katrina’s newfound stardom.
Talking to a daily, an insider from the industry says, “It is clear that the makers of ‘Boom’ want to cash in on Katrina`s success. She is a top actress now and naturally there will be curiosity about a steamy scene she did, when she was a newcomer.”

Meanwhile, Gulshan confirmed the news and said, “It is true. The new lot will have the controversial scene, which was omitted earlier. Many years have passed since we did ‘Boom’ and even I had forgotten that such a scene existed in it. But we are all set to refresh the past. The scene certainly will have its share of reactions.”

However, the actress is completely uniformed of this newfound development as a source from the production house said, “They don`t need to inform her or get her permission for the same. She had signed a contract knowing fully well what she was doing and had got paid for it.”

Katrina has regretted doing bold scenes in the start of her career and she would surely be shocked to find this out.
The filmmakers are also targeting to release the film on the big screen once again. Sanjay Jumani, the international distributor of ‘Boom’, said, “It is true that the deleted scenes will be included in the new print. We are also going to re-release the film in UK, USA and Gulf. We feel the film had not got its due when it released. It was ahead of its time.”

The first thing that strikes you about Tanu Weds Manu is a striking sense of familiarity. It wasn’t long before you saw Shahid Kapoor playing a similar sacrificial lover to Kareena Kapoor in Jab We Met. And like poor Kareena, who tries too sort out her confused emotions against the backdrop of the big fat Punjabi wedding, Tanu too must decide who is better husband material, first amidst the hustle bustle of her best friend’s boisterous going-balle-balle baraat and then at her Kanpuria community haveli.

With a marriage in the background providing a perfect place for Tanu’s second chance meeting with Manu, the movie traces the relationship between the girl and the NRI. Surely, perfect material for sentimental romances with ‘comedy ka tadka’.

But there is something missing to make it a perfect romantic comedy. First, the script is punctured, then there is no chemistry between Madhavan and Kangna and if that was not enough, the narrative doesn’t flow at the desired pace – it’s slower than it should be.

Though the director picked up an interesting subject, he has not succeeded in executing his story effectively on screen – there are not enough laughs in the film. Whatever funny scenes are there, credit goes to the chemistry between Madhavan and Deepak Dobriyal who plays his friend Pappi.

Kangana’s dialogue delivery puts you little bit off and she lacks the spark to play the free bird that she is in the movie. In fact, Swara Bhaskar, who plays her friend Payal, holds the fort as the Bihari girl who is marrying a sardarji (Eijaz Khan) who also happens to be Manu’s best friend.

Critics won’t appreciate the plot but Madhavan fans would find enough material to enjoy the film.

Music plays an important role in a wedding-based romantic comedy and the director could have got it right if he had opted for fast-paced peppy numbers.

In the performance department, full marks go to Madhavan, Deepak and Swara. The supporting cast of K.K. Raina, Rajendra Gupta and Navni Parihar don’t have much to do, but whatever role they have, they carry it well. Jimmy Shergill as Kangana’s ruffian boyfriend is wasted, so is Ravi Kishen as his sidekick.

If you are looking for a great romantic comedy, this is not the one, but watch it for Madhavan and his chemistry with Deepak.

I will give 3.5 Stars
